ÖSD A1

Initial application for a residence permitl

The A1 exam is relevant for third-country nationals, who apply for a residence permit in Austria and must provide proof of German language skills before applying. An A1 certificate is valid as proof (or higher), this certificate may not be more than one year old.

Before submitting an application, notification of admission to a university

The A2 certificate is required before admission to study at an Austrian university. This must be submitted prior to the notification of admission.
The A2 exam with integration agreement is required for the extension of a residence permit. When you need this exam, so you can do this on ÖIF (Austrian Integration Fund) take off.

Citizenship and admission to study

The B2 International Certificate is for admission to various courses at Austrian universities, Universities of applied sciences, Conservatories or private universities are required. The certificate is given under certain conditions (Stayed in Austria for several years) also recognized as a basic requirement for obtaining Austrian citizenship.

OSD C2

C2 is available in two different versions: ÖSD certificate C2 and ÖSD C2 business language German.

The C2 is a modular C2 exam. Each skill can be taken individually with a diploma. At the C2 WD, the focus is on economic topics. It can be divided into two modules (written and oral) be discarded.

FAQ – Frequently asked questions

How long is my ÖSD certificate valid??

All ÖSD certificates are valid indefinitely. However, authorities often require certificates to be presented, die z.B. are not older than a year.

Do I have to have completed all lower levels before taking an ÖSD exam??

no, I am free, to take any ÖSD exam, when and where I want.

Do I have to have attended a course?, before I can take an ÖSD exam?

no, the ÖSD examination system is independent of the course, an ÖSD exam can be taken anywhere at any time without preconditions and without attending a course.

If I have to repeat one or more parts of an ÖSD exam, Do I have to do it at the same examination institute??

no, I can repeat the exam anywhere in the world, whenever and wherever I want. The successfully passed part of the exam remains valid for one year. However, if I want a complete certificate from the examination, and not only the partial certificates passed with positive results, so I have since 01.03.2019 take all partial exams and any repetitions at the same examination institute.

Can I see my exam??

After the examination results have been announced, the evaluation sheet can be viewed upon request. Unfortunately, the exam itself or the written production cannot be viewed.

How long does an exam take?

At the Accord Academy, the written and oral sections are taken on the same day. Please keep the day free for an ÖSD exam. The written part is in the morning (away 9 clock), the oral part is in the afternoon. The time for the oral exam - usually between 14 and 19 clock – is allocated individually. Written exams take time:
A1 – 55 Minutes
A2 – 75 Minutes
B1 – 165 Minutes
B2 – 210 Minutes
C1 – 220 Minutes
Oral exams last depending on the level:
Preparation time 10 – 20 Minutes
Exam time 15 – 30 Minutes

When will I get my exam results and my certificate??

I usually get the exam results two days after taking the exam. The issuance of the certificate takes time, until it is printed and shipped, up to 14 days. The certificate can be picked up at the Accord Academy or sent to you. If it is to be sent abroad or by registered mail, this is possible with an extra charge.

I lost my certificate. Can I get a duplicate??

And, however, issuing a duplicate involves costs for creation and shipping. According to the data protection regulation, personal data may only be stored with us for five years. For this reason, a duplicate can only be issued for five years.
