

FAQ – ÖSD exams at the Accord Academy
Find our ÖSD exams regularly every two to three weeks held on Saturdays. You are now welcome to register online at any time for all dates throughout the year.

How can I register for the exam?

How can I pay for the exam?

If you need an invoice in advance: Choose in Shop an exam, put them in the shopping cart. Click on “go to the cash register”. When does the exam start??
The B1 exams, B2, C1 and C2 start at 9.00 clock. A1 and A2 usually start at 12.30 clock.
The times are always included in the registration confirmation email. If times differ, you will receive a separate email.
The oral exams are on the same day in the afternoon, ca. 15.00 -19.00 clock. The time is allocated individually after the written exam.
Please come on time on the day of the exam, are recommended 15 Minutes before the start of the exam.

ID required when registering and taking the exam
To ensure the high quality of ÖSD exams, According to ÖSD rules, exam participants must identify themselves when registering. If you register in person, you must provide an official photo ID (passport, EU identity card, EU driving license, Residence permit, Student ID card) be shown. The Accord Academy must make a copy of this ID card. When registering online, an official photo ID must be sent via upload.
When taking the exam on the day of the exam, two different forms of identification must be taken with you and presented. It is not possible to attend without proof of identity when registering and taking the exam, Payments made cannot be refunded if the ID requirement is not met.

What should I bring to the exam??
You must definitely bring two official photo IDs with you on the day of the exam. Passports are valid, EU identity card, EU driving license, Residence permit and student ID card. Photocopies or photos on digital devices are not valid. It is only possible to take the exam with proof of identity.
You can also use your own dictionary during the exam (B2 bilingual and monolingual, C1 and C2 monolingual). For levels A1, A2 and B1 are not allowed dictionaries. Perhaps think about that too, Take a drink or something to eat with you.
Can I take my own dictionary??
The Accord Academy always provides dictionaries for each exam room. However, these are available to the entire group, Individual reservations are not possible. It is therefore recommended, bring your own dictionary with you. For the ÖSD ZB2 exam you can use both a monolingual and a bilingual dictionary. For the ZC1 and ZC2/ZC2 WD exams you may use a monolingual dictionary. Electronic dictionaries and special dictionaries are not permitted, such as a synonym dictionary or grammar books. There may also be no handwritten notes in the dictionaries. For levels ZA1, ZA2 and ZB1 no dictionaries are allowed.
When does the oral exam take place??
It takes place the same day, after the written, instead of - between 14.30 and 18.30 Clock instead. You will find out the exact time of your individual oral exam after the written exam. Therefore, take the whole day for the entire ÖSD- or ART exam time.
When will I get my diploma??
You will usually receive your test result by Wednesday after the examination. You will receive the diplomas 7 until 10 days after the exam. Since the certificates are printed and sent, this can take different lengths, a fixed date cannot be guaranteed.
The certificates are output in printed form. They can be picked up from us or sent by post for a fee.
By when should I register?
For registrations by 15 A place is guaranteed days before the exam, as examination documents can still be ordered in a timely manner. After that, the remaining places will be allocated. In principle, registrations are possible up until the day of the exam. However, if you are registering at short notice, please ask, which levels/levels are still available. Can I postpone or cancel my exam??
In principle, cancellations and postponements of the exam date are until 10 Free of charge days before the exam date. How long is my ÖSD certificate valid??
In principle, all ÖSD certificates are valid for an unlimited period. However, authorities often require certificates to be presented, die z.B. are not older than a year.
Do I have to have completed all lower levels before taking an ÖSD exam??
no, you are free to do so, to take any ÖSD exam, whenever and wherever you want.
Do I have to have attended a course?, before I can take an ÖSD exam?
no, the ÖSD examination system is independent of the course, an ÖSD exam can be taken anywhere at any time without preconditions and without attending a course.
If I have to repeat one or more parts of an ÖSD exam, Do I have to do it at the same examination institute??
no, You can retake the exam anywhere in the world, whenever and wherever you want. The successfully passed part of the exam remains valid for one year. However, if I want a complete certificate from the examination, and not only the partial certificates passed with positive results, so I have since 01.03.2019 take all partial examinations and any retakes at the same examination institute.
Can I see my exam??
After the examination results have been announced, the evaluation sheet can be viewed upon request. The exam itself or the written production may not be viewed. How long does an exam take?
At the Accord Academy, the written and oral sections are taken on the same day. Please keep the day free for an ÖSD exam. The written part is in the morning (away 9 clock, except A1 and A2 usually around 12.30 clock), the oral part is in the afternoon. How often can I take an ÖSD exam??
There are no restrictions. You can take an exam or. take a module as often as you like or. repeat. Modular exams, such as ZB1 and ZC2 can be repeated in individual modules. For the other exams, the written part must always be completed (Read, Listening and writing) be repeated. You can set the time, You are free to choose when you would like to repeat the exam, However, the ÖSD recommends a waiting period of at least four weeks after a failed exam.
How can I take an ÖSD exam as a person with specific needs??
Depending on the type and degree of specific needs (z. B. Read- and/or writing difficulties, Restriction of vision- or hearing ability etc.) Individual measures can be approved, which enable fair and barrier-free taking of the exam. For this purpose, please contact us personally and provide evidence/findings to support your specific needs. We will forward this to the ÖSD and ask for appropriate measures and relief. I lost my certificate. Can I get a duplicate??
