Wokeness is the heightened form of political correctness, because it means "Be awake, judge others, and feel good about it (NZZ online, 20.01.2020).“It tends to be hidden, that there are solid reasons for this, "awake" or "woke" to all forms of racism, being colonialism and sexism, that still exist. This is still visible today, on the one hand, in the external designations of human beings:inside that are not heteromasculine or cismasculine, on the other hand also with ethnic groups. To this day, pejorative references outweigh value-neutral references, which are likely to be discussed, but are still in use. Thus, the pejorative foreign names for indigenous ethnic groups "Indianer:in” and the specifically white:"Squaw" rather than Native American or Indigenous:r or "Eskimo" for Arctic indigenous people still used.
Value-neutral self-designations are ignored and at the same time the derogatory and historically conditioned personal references from the opponent:vehemently defended inside.
These external designations form only and exclusively the pejorative spectrum of representatives:inside off, something is missing(e) but at least a value-neutral designation, not to mention meliorative ones. It must be the goal of society, all human:to represent them internally linguistically in German and not to make them caricatures of themselves or allow them to become caricatures of themselves. to stylize into the ideal image of the "noble savage".. What does that mean now?? It requires the recognition of their self-designations, as is usual. So become residents:within the USA, of course, like many other nations, also value-neutral as “US Americans:inside"., others such as the derogatory "Yankee" or the colloquial "Ami" round off the holistic verbalization.
The masculine noun plays within all personal references, which is used generically in German and also in other gender languages, still a dominant role. It has been standing for more than 50 years in criticism of feminist-gender linguistic research. However, the focus is usually on language use, but not in the grammatical and morpho-semantic area such as the syntax rules (predicative) or that of the word fields. Conceptually, the generic masculine noun and thus has the inextricable connection of cismänn:with human beings:contributed to a gender hierarchy with the hetero-masculine at the top. All other genders, also the straight woman:lich, as well as all gender identities and sexual orientations are this cis male:subordinate. This is still evident in the meaning relations of the vocabulary under hetero-masculine hegemony in the dictionaries and encyclopedias.
This area of tension results in the following goals of this proseminar: The gender-critical and postcolonial analysis and deconstruction of the hetero-male:lich human:common within all personal designations, the nations, ethnic groups and specific groups, but also gender/sexuality or. relate to gender identities, are the focus. At the conceptual level, metalinguistic categories, hierarchies incl. hetero-masculine hegemony animated : inanimate, mensch:lich : animal, men:lich : woman:involved. Specifically, this concerns the analysis of pre-feminist personal references, including pluricentrism (Nomen, pronouns and adjectives), which are based on a hetero-masculine binary, which is also manifested in grammatical regularities.
The result can/should be deconstructions of these references and additions through self-designations of the anonymous or concrete suggestions or. be redefinitions of the studied hetero-androcentric lemmas. All this from the point of view of an inclusive person:interior concept.
